My sister very kindly asked if I would do the stationery for her wedding, so obviously I said yes.
I thoroughly enjoyed this project as she gave me a huge amount of freedom in my designs. The only thing she said that she wanted was "a bit traditional and pale green".
So I started off by creating the Order of Service booklet which was rather simple inside (a few hymns and poems). On the outside (as my sister is a bird fanatic) I chose two silhouettes of Warblers for the front cover and then the same two birds in the sunset (or sunrise depending on what way you look at it) for the back.
I then created a very simple menu design (including a kids one) using some icons of knives & forks etc. from the wonderful Nexa Rust typeface - which was used throughout the stationery.
My favourite part of this project was the table names. Each table was named after a pub that have/has had a personal connection to Amy or Michael (or both). So I designed a simple, clean line illustration for each table (which I created in 3 hours might I add).
